Real World article
(written from a Production point of view)

Mike Roy (192125 March 1996; age 75) was a Canadian comic book artist best known for his stories about Native Americans.

He started in the comics industry in 1940 and worked on a wide variety of titles including Captain America, The Saint, and Nero Wolfe.

During his career, he produced public relations booklets for NASA, worked for the US Information Agency, partnered in a film production company specializing in horse racing, served as art director for Funk & Wagnalls Encyclopedia, and served with the military, parachuting into France during the D-Day invasion of Normandy.

A handful of the Gold Key Comics covers for their Star Trek series are sometimes credited to him or Frank Bolle, another artist with a similar style. These include line art on #60: "The Empire Man" and #61: "Operation Con Game". [1]
