Michael Torres was the son of Carl Torres, and had two older siblings, Elizabeth and Dean.

In the early 2350s, while on a camping trip with his family, Uncle John, and his cousin B'Elanna, he watched as his brother Dean put a worm on B'Elanna's sandwich. The two then found it funny, but neither Elizabeth or B'Elanna did, as B'Elanna stormed off until after nightfall.

B'Elanna would later remember the trip as a major point in her life, when she was made fun of because of her Klingon heritage. (VOY: Lineage)

Michael Torres was played by actor Gilbert R. Leal.
