Template:Realworld Meyer Dolinsky (13 October 1923 – 29 February 1984; age 60) wrote the TOS episode "Plato's Stepchildren". Among his other television credits are three episodes of the original Outer Limits: "The Architects of Fear", directed by Byron Haskin, "O.B.I.T.", directed by Gerd Oswald and featuring Jeff Corey, Harry Townes, and Jason Wingreen, and "ZZZZZ".

Dolinsky was invited by Gene Roddenberry to pitch stories to Star Trek as early as the Spring of the 1966, when he was invited for a screening on the series' second pilot, "Where No Man Has Gone Before" along with other potential writers. (These Are the Voyages: TOS Season One, p. 147)
