File:Not rated.png

I'm not sure where we would need to point out the absence of a rating, and while a good effort, this is way to wide to be used with more than a few other logos. - Archduk3 19:14, June 26, 2012 (UTC)

It wouldn't be used with other logos - otherwise, it'd be rated. :P -- Renegade54 (talk) 20:00, June 26, 2012 (UTC)

I don't see why we need to use it at all then, since the lack of logos should convey the same message. - Archduk3 21:41, June 28, 2012 (UTC)

We don't need to... and I have no objections to getting rid of it. The only reason for having it would be to indicate that it is truly unrated, as opposed to "we don't know what the rating is so we didn't put anything in the rating spot, but we will if and when we find out what it is." Amazon and a number of other sites use a similar logo. -- Renegade54 (talk) 19:03, August 3, 2012 (UTC)

I see your point, but the places where this was used normally wouldn't be rated, at least in the US, and the style of this is based on the MPAA ratings. If we a had a smaller one, since I still think this is a bit to large to illustrate the lack of something, that was more in line with the European logos, since this is mainly for the lack of one of those, then I think we would be better off. Creating one from scratch might be the way to go, unless someone gets a better Google search result than I did. - Archduk3 04:48, August 23, 2012 (UTC)

Enterprise in orbit of Psi 2000

Two very similar images, we could probably do with just the big one.-- Capricorn (talk) 15:39, October 16, 2012 (UTC)

I tend to agree, but then I'd be in favor of keeping the one with the corresponding original image--Sennim (talk) 07:00, October 17, 2012 (UTC)
I agree, and another reason I'd support keeping that one is that the planet isn't shown covered up by the Enterprise's hull. --Defiant (talk) 21:32, December 21, 2012 (UTC)

Unused images

We have a bunch of (mostly 1+ years old) unused images which I think we can remove. Thoughts? - Aatrek 14:51, October 22, 2012 (UTC)

We should only remove them if we can't use them. For example, articles could be written about the Nitpicker's Guides. 31dot (talk) 16:34, October 22, 2012 (UTC)

Fair enough - I can work on the NPG articles (I have all the books on my shelf at home), but I don't know anything about the pinball machines. I notated images represented by other pics on the site already. - Aatrek 16:53, October 22, 2012 (UTC)

The pinball images and the lenticular print are awaiting articles, and shouldn't be deleted. The "replaced" images should be merged if the file format is the same, since the history of those images shouldn't be lost just because a new file name was used due to only admins having the rights to rename images. It should be stressed that though that those images should have been "updated" and a rename notice used, as it's less effort that way overall. - Archduk3 03:43, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
I've reinserted the 2 D'kora class pics in the article, D'Kora class model, where they were originally placed. They were removed by another editor without stating reasons, I presume by mistake. I also suggest we keep the Kradin fighter pic, for now. It is canon, after all, only an article needs to be written about it...--Sennim (talk) 11:36, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
LtKirk.jpg is linked on a couple of pages, but not actually shown, as reference for Kirk's rank in the film. --Alientraveller (talk) 11:55, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
Kradin fighter image is an image for an article that needs to be written. I've marked the various images in the list above with strikeouts that are in articles, linked from articles, or need articles written about them already. The "duplicates" are likely safe to go. -- sulfur (talk) 12:35, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
I'm not totally convinced that I like the way that the models are collaged for the Playmates Toys at the bottom of that page, and I think that I'd prefer that we split those up and used individual pictures (as the top in the list above) in each section instead. Same goes for the Johnny Lightning stuff -- sulfur (talk) 13:48, October 23, 2012 (UTC)

File:Enterprise-J, ventral view.jpg

Upon further inspection, this isn't the USS Enterprise-J as I originally thought. - Aatrek 20:35, December 21, 2012 (UTC)

I have a strong hunch it is and think we should keep this file. Why do you think it's not the Ent-J? --Defiant (talk) 21:26, December 21, 2012 (UTC)
It's another class called "Congo-class" by Doug, an early alternative for what the Ent-J ended up being. [1] --Pseudohuman (talk) 03:57, December 22, 2012 (UTC)

No longer needed now that it has been replaced with a better quality SVG version. StalwartUK (talk) 02:53, December 22, 2012 (UTC)

File:Enterprise Season 1 Blu-ray cover.jpg

Requesting deletion of File:Enterprise Season 1 Blu-ray cover.jpg.

I uploaded a full-resolution version of this image at File:ENT Season 1 Blu-ray cover.jpg without realizing this one existed, but this wasn't being used anywhere, so it can go. - Aatrek 23:55, January 7, 2013 (UTC)
