Meles II is a planet near Federation space, the closest inhabited planet to the Detrian system. Its inhabitants are friendly and welcoming, a fact that led William T. Riker to suggest it as a destination for James Moriarty and Regina Bartholomew when they departed the USS Enterprise-D as part of a holodeck simulation in 2369. (TNG: "Ship in a Bottle")
