Mel Gold is an actor who appeared as a holographic bar patron in the Star Trek: Voyager fifth season episode "Someone to Watch Over Me" for which he filmed his scenes on Wednesday 3 February 1999 and Thursday 4 February 1999 on Paramount Stage 9. He later appeared in the Star Trek: Enterprise first season episode "Broken Bow" as an alien man.

Gold was featured in Take Her, She's Mine (1963, with Irene Tsu and music by Jerry Goldsmith), Return from Witch Mountain (1976, with Ike Eisenmann, Ward Costello, and Adam Roarke), The Man with Two Brains (1983, with David Warner, James Cromwell, Earl Boen, Jeffrey Combs, and music by Joel Goldsmith), and Hot to Trot (1988, with Virginia Madsen, Jim Metzler, Donald Hotton, Vyto Ruginis, Robert Towers, and Conrad Hurtt).

He also appeared in Jessica Novak (1981, with David Spielberg, Louis Giambalvo, Georgia Schmidt, and Terrence Beasor) and worked as stand-in on the television drama A Mother's Prayer (1995, with Gail Strickland and Aaron Lustig).
