According to the Star Trek: Star Charts ("United Federation of Planets I"), the Maxia Zeta system, identified in the book as Maxia, was located in non-aligned space between the Ferengi Alliance and the United Federation of Planets. This system was a binary star system. Primary was a Class K star with a magnitude of +3, which was ten times as bright as Sol. Secondary was a Class M star. The USS Stargazer was lost in this system in 2355.
