Max Kleven (born 16 August 1933; age 90) is a retired stuntman, stunt actor, stunt coordinator, and assistant director who played Achilles in the Star Trek: The Original Series second season episode "Bread and Circuses".

Kleven is a native of Norway, was educated there, before immigrating to the United States in 1951, where he lived for a time in Vermont and New York. By 1962, when he married his wife, singer Judy A'Mour, he worked as a director-actor with Columbia Pictures, and was under contract to the series Route 66 (with Glenn Corbett) and appeared weekly on the series Naked City (with Lawrence Dobkin, Nancy Malone, and Perry Lopez). In 1973, Kleven was the president of the Stunt Men's Association. (Independent [Long Beach, CA], 26 March 1973, p. A-3.)

In 2012, Kleven received a Lifetime Membership Award from the Stuntmen's Association of Motion Pictures. [1]
