Max Cervantes (born 18 December 1959; age 64) is a former actor who appeared as a recurring background actor, an operations division officer, in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Cervantes previously appeared in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and later worked as model maker, prop maker, and costume maker for HMS Creative Productions, Inc. on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, the pilot episode of Star Trek: Enterprise, and the Star Trek films Star Trek Generations and Star Trek: First Contact. Cervantes was scheduled to appear in engineering scenes for the fifth season episode "Darmok" and in corridor scenes of the episode "Ensign Ro" but was not part of the final episodes.

Cervantes was born in Corona, California, and attended the Corona Senior High School and the Cerritos Community College where he graduated with a BA in Industrial Plastics.

His first film set he ever visited was the set of Logan's Run in 1976. His first credit, as "Ernie Cervantes", was for his work on Real Genius in 1985 on which he worked with Syd Dutton, David Stipes, and Bill Taylor. Other film and television work include Masters of the Universe (1987, starring Frank Langella, Meg Foster, Robert Duncan McNeill, and Anthony De Longis), Beetlejuice (1988), Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future (1987-1988), Babylon 5, seaQuest DSV, and Earth 2, Virtuosity (1995), Batman Forever (1995), Lawnmower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace (1996), Troops (1997), and Starship Troopers (1997). In 2007, Cervantes worked as specialty costumer for the fan-made internet series Star Trek: New Voyages on the episode "World Enough and Time". He also sculpted elements for the theme park attraction "Wizarding World Of Harry Potter" in Florida.

Today, Cervantes is an avid gym goer and bodybuilder and joined the Heavy Muscle Radio in 2012. [2]
