Mauric

Ambassador Mauric was the Kes government representative on the planet Kesprytt in 2370. Kes wanted to join the federation, and he represented Kes aboard the Enterprise. Picard and Crusher are kidnapped by the Prytt, the gother overnment on the planet who were enemies to the Kes who believe that Enterprise is conspiring with the Kes to help them conquer the Pryitt., Mauric would help coordinate rescue efforts, while Riker tried to negotiate with the Pyritt. Mauric would have one of his agents help Picard and Crusher break out of prison, and provide them with a map to the Kes territory. When they failed to arrive at the destination on the map , he accuses Enterprise of conspiring with the Pryitt. Both would be beamed back to the Enterprise after Riker threatens to wage war against both governments. (TNG: "Attached")
