Stunt double Edith Keeler

Mary Statler is a stuntwoman and stunt actress who was the stunt double for Joan Collins in the Star Trek: The Original Series episode "The City on the Edge of Forever". She doubled Collins in a scene where she was hit by a truck. Statler received no credit for her work.

Statler was one of the founding and charter members of the Stuntwomens Association of Motion Pictures in 1967 alongside fellow Star Trek stuntwomen Regina Parton and Donna Garrett.

She performed stunts in films such as Cheyenne Autumn (1964, with Ricardo Montalban and Charles Seel), Blake Edwards' The Great Race (1965, with Robert Herron, Clegg Hoyt, Charles Seel, and stunts by Dick Crockett, Dick Dial, Chuck Hicks, Carey Loftin, Hal Needham, Gil Perkins, Ronald R. Rondell, David Sharpe, and Paul Stader), Bonnie & Clyde (1967, with Michael J. Pollard and stunts by Bennie E. Dobbins, Eddie Hice, and George Sawaya), The Wrecking Crew (1969, with Rex Holman, John Kowal, Byron Morrow, and stunts by William Couch, Carey Loftin, and Gil Perkins), Paint Your Wagon (1969, with Harve Presnell, Ray Walston, Karl Bruck, Roy Jenson, and stunts by Tony Epper, Diamond Farnsworth, Robert Herron, Chuck Hicks, Frank Orsatti, and David Sharpe), and Once You Kiss a Stranger (1969, with Whit Bissell and stunt coordinated by Fred Carson).

Statler also appeared in television series such as Perry Mason (1966).
