Mary D. Mascari McDermott (16 January 192919 September 2020; age 91) was an actress who appeared as a Mercy Hospital patient in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Beginning in 1993, Mascari appeared as a regular background actress, a Bajoran woman, in several episodes of all seven seasons of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She also had a background role in an episode of Star Trek: Voyager.

Mascari was married to Edward McDermott from 20 February 1960 until his death on 18 August 1972. The couple had two children.

Mascari started to work as background actress in the 1940s and worked on projects such as the musical Good News (1947), the crime drama The Lady from Shanghai (1947, with Arthur Tovey), the adventure Around the World in 80 Days (1956), the drama The Black Orchid (1958, with Peter Mark Richman, Whit Bissell, and Majel Barrett), the drama I Want to Live! (1958, directed by Robert Wise and with Theodore Bikel and Jon Lormer), the adventure The Buccaneer (1958, with Majel Barrett, Fred Carson, Bill Erwin, William Meader, and Gil Perkins), the musical Can-Can (1960, with Benjie Bancroft, Wilda Taylor, and Arthur Tovey), the pilot episode of The Cop and the Kid (1975, with Tierre Turner), the horror drama Coma (1978, with Geneviève Bujold, Lance LeGault, Betty McGuire, Vaughn Armstrong, and Nicholas Worth), the Dynasty episode "The Cabin" (1983, with Joan Collins, Lee Bergere, Don Eitner, Peter Mark Richman, Robert Symonds, Peter Eastman, Buzz Barbee, John Blower, and Ray Petersen), the music comedy Rhinestone (1984, with Phil Rubenstein), and The Colbys episode "Thursday's Child" (1986, with Stephanie Beacham, Tracy Scoggins, Ricardo Montalban, Joseph Campanella, and Peter White).

Later background acting work includes the comedy Beethoven (1992, with Cory Danziger and Cirroc Lofton), episodes of The Nanny (1993, with Daniel Davis), The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. (1993), and Johnny Bago (1993), and the sport drama Cobb (1994, with Scott Burkholder, William Utay, George Wilbur, and Tom Todoroff).
