Marla E. Finn

Marla E. Finn was a human female, born on Earth, to William R. and Ellen Finn.

She attended Starfleet Academy during the late 2350s, and graduated from there on stardate 40591. Finn was also the recipient of the Jalhal Award for her work in warp field engineering.

One of her first assignments was aboard the USS Silversides on stardate 40632.7.

After transferring from the Silversides, Ensign Finn was assigned as a warp field specialist to Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards. There she assisted in the warp engine local control systems installation aboard the USS Enterpise-D, during it's construction in 2362.

During this time, she became romantically involved with Walter Pierce, but also had an affair with another man. Starfleet believed Finn had been killed in a plasma explosion at Utopia Planitia on stardate 40987.2, about a year prior to the ship's launch.

It was not learned until late-2370 that she and her male friend had been killed by Pierce, who had caused the plasma explosion out of jealousy and then threw himself into the plasma stream. (TNG: "Eye of the Beholder")
