Mark Binder is a sound effects designer, mixer, and editor who, along with Mark Mangini, designed the Mind Meld Soundscape for 2009's Star Trek.

Binder and Mangini have worked together on many films since 2003, including Looney Tunes: Back in Action (which featured Marc Lawrence, Dick Miller, George Murdock, Ron Perlman, and Robert Picardo) and Beauty Shop (starring Alfre Woodard). They have also collaborated with Star Trek: The Motion Picture Supervising Sound Editor Richard L. Anderson on such films as Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Shark Tale, Blades of Glory, and The Spiderwick Chronicles. Binder, Mangini, and Anderson received a Golden Reel Award nomination from the Motion Picture Sound Editors for their work on Shark Tale.

Binder and Anderson have also worked independently of Mangini on films such as Disney's Brother Bear and DreamWorks Animation's Madagascar, Over the Hedge (which featured the voice of William Shatner), and Shrek the Third. They were nominated for a Golden Reel Award for their work on Madagascar. Binder's other film credits include The Pacifier, Harsh Times, and Transformers, the latter of which was written by Star Trek scribes Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.
