Marcelo Tubert is the actor who portrayed Acost Jared in the 1991 Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episode "Devil's Due".

He has appeared in many other television shows, as well as movies and video games. In 1989, he appeared in the Hardball episode "The Silver Scream" with Harvey Jason, Megan Parlen, and Valerie Wildman. The episode was directed by Larry Shaw. In 2001, Tubert lent his voice to the video game Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge (with Michael Bell, Hamilton Camp, Phil Morris, Keith Szarabajka, and Marc Worden). Later that year, Tubert appeared on an ER episode (with guests Michelle Bonilla, James Cromwell, Lily Mariye, Amy Wheaton, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, David Richards and Michael McGrady).

In 2004, he had a recurring role on The West Wing as Palestinian Prime Minister Saeb Mukarat, alongside Star Trek: Enterprise guest star Steven Culp.

In 2006 he provided voice talent for the computer animated movie Over the Hedge, also starring William Shatner.
