Template:Realworld Marc Scott Zicree was born 25 August 1955. He wrote the story of the popular Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Far Beyond the Stars". He had earlier written the story for the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "First Contact".

He has also written an episode of Star Trek: New Voyages, entitled "World Enough and Time." His book The Twilight Zone Companion is the encyclopedia for TZ fans.

Zicree has worked on several other popular science fiction television shows and cartoons. His credits include He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (featuring the voice of Alan Oppenheimer), The Real Ghost Busters, Beauty and the Beast, Swamp Thing, Babylon 5, Space Precinct, Sliders and William Shatner's Tekwar.
