Makull's species were a pre-warp humanoid species who populated a class M planet that USS Voyager encountered in 2371. They possibly had a monotheistic faith.

The species had no satellite systems or spacecraft.

During the 2370s, Pe'Nar Makull was the leader of a protest group who were against the use of polaric ion energy, believing that it was unstable and a threat to their planet. (VOY: "Time and Again")
