(written from a Production point of view)
One of Naff's more memorable scenes was when she first meets Captain Jean-Luc Picard and literally bumps into him, spilling a drink all over his uniform. Her character was well-established for two consecutive episodes, but then was abruptly never seen or referred to again as part of the Enterprise-D crew.
In 1990, Naff was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in the category "Outstanding Performer in a Children's Special" for her role in The Perfect Date.
Naff also appeared briefly in Total Recall as the three-breasted mutant on Mars, as well as a prostitute in the original Lethal Weapon movie. She started her career as a dancer on the television show Fame. She also had a recurring role on the short-lived television series, The Flash and appeared in the horror comedy Chopper Chicks in Zombietown (aka Cycle Sluts; 1989; with Earl Boen and Rob King; stunts by Dennis Madalone)
In recent years, she has also entered the field of journalism, writing for several newspapers and magazines, including a staff position at the Miami Herald. She currently writes The Dish column for US tabloid publication The Globe.
