Lord Byron was a 19th century poet. A creative, poetic genius, he was also emotionally intense, even unstable. (VOY: "Darkling")

In 2268, when the Medusan Kollos' mind was temporarily within Spock's body during a Vulcan mind meld, he quoted Lord Byron's 1814 poem, "She Walks in Beauty like the Night," referring to Uhura. (TOS: "Is There in Truth No Beauty?")

A holographic simulation of Lord Byron was among the historical personality profiles studied by The Doctor in 2373, during his attempt to expand his personality subroutines. (VOY: "Darkling")

Lord Byron was played by Christopher Clarke.
According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia (3rd ed., p. 60), the birth and death years of Lord Byron were 1788 and 1824, respectively. Furthermore, the authors wrote, "Lord Byron's flamboyant and passionate lifestyle brought forth great poetry but also led to scandal, forcing him to leave England and live in exile until his death in 1824."
