Ensign Lopez was a Starfleet officer stationed on board the USS Enterprise-D between 2368 and 2369.

He was serving at ops and on the aft bridge in early 2368 when the Enterprise-D was on its way to Melona IV. (TNG: "Silicon Avatar")

Like the rest of the crew, he was affected by the Ktarian game and eyed Wesley Crusher suspiciously when he saw him walking through a corridor without the device. (TNG: "The Game")

Lopez was working on the bridge when Captain Picard contacted Junior adjutant B'iJik (TNG: "Unification I") and when the Enterprise-D assisted the scientists on Penthara IV. (TNG: "A Matter Of Time")

Sometime between 2366 and 2368 he was one of the engineering crewmembers who were evacuated from main engineering due to a warp core breach. Commander Riker experienced this event during a telepathic memory invasion by the Ullian Jev and remembered the death of Ensign Keller. (TNG: "Violations")

Lopez was working in main engineering when Geordi La Forge and Hannah Bates worked on a way to move the stellar core fragment away from its collision course with the planet Moab IV. (TNG: "The Masterpiece Society")

He passed Lwaxana Troi and Alexander Rozhenko when the two left the counselor's office. (TNG: "Cost Of Living")

He walked across a corridor while an alien lifeform came aboard the ship. (TNG: "Imaginary Friend")

Lopez attended the memorial service for Geordi La Forge and Ro Laren held in Ten Forward. (TNG: "The Next Phase")

He was on duty in main engineering when Geordi La Forge and Doctor Crusher examined the biofilter readings of Sev Maylor. (TNG: "Man Of The People")

He was on duty in main engineering when the Enterprise-D took Montgomery Scott on board and Scott visited the "heart of the ship". (TNG: "Relics")

He was on duty in main engineering when solanogen-based lifeforms were conducting medical experiments on the crew of the Enterprise-D. (TNG: "Schisms")

He was also working in engineering when a group of renegade Ferengi took over the ship. He was then among the Starfleet officers who were brought into one of the transporter rooms and beamed off the ship. (TNG: "Rascals")

Lopez was working in main engineering while in orbit of Tyrus VII when Data discovered that the exocomps were considered lifeforms. (TNG: "The Quality of Life")

He assisted Geordi La Forge in uploading antimatter mines aboard a shuttle. (TNG: "Chain Of Command, Part II")

Lopez was on duty on the bridge when Professor James Moriarty held Captain Picard, Data, and Reginald Barclay captive in his holographic program. (TNG: "Ship In A Bottle")

He later switched to security and at some point was responsible for setting up the duty roster for the security department. When he presented it to security chief Worf, who was curious about the whereabouts of his father at this time, Worf bluntly refused to accept the roster, ordering Lopez to do it again with the assignments ordered by priority and to finish it by 0900 hours. (TNG: "Birthright, Part I")

Ensign Lopez was played by recurring background actor Tony Cruz, who received no credit for his appearances.
He was identified by name in "Birthright, Part I".
