Lobe enlargement was a cosmetic medical procedure undergone by some Ferengi to alter and accentuate the natural appearance of their lobes. The procedure was thought to add stature to the Ferengi by increasing the size of the lobes.
On 2377, Gegis remarked that if he retrieved Seven of Nine's nanoprobes, he and his crew could get lobe enlargements with the resulting profits. (VOY: "Inside Man")
