Riker as Little John
Little John was the name of a character in Human mythology, who served as the trusted Lieutenant of Robin Hood, in an area of England known as Sherwood Forest. Acording to legend, John Little first met Robin Hood while preventing him from crossing a narrow bridge. After the two fought, it is said that he joined Robin's company known as the Merry Men who then baptised him and called him Little John in reference to his great height.
In 2367 the entity known as Q transported the senior officers of the USS Enterprise-D into a re-creation of Sherwood Forest and the story of Robin Hood in an attempt to teach Captain Picard a lesson about love. During the re-enactment each of the officers played the part of one of the Merry Men. The role of Little John was played by Commander Riker. (TNG: "QPid")
