The following is a list of members of Junior's species.

Named[]

Unnamed[]

Mother []

Junior is born

Junior's mother giving birth

Junior's mother was one of these species that was alive in the 2360s.

The creature appeared very streamlined, likening it to a space-going whale or fish, with a tapered body, grayish skin and an orange fringe. It possessed no obvious eyes or other sensory organs. Its physical structure was a mass of plasma energy contained within discrete boundaries by an outer covering, or "shell", of silicates, actinides, and carbonaceous chondrites.

In 2367, it found itself pregnant and away from others of its race. It moved to the asteroid belt where the others lived, though the Alpha Omicron system. In orbit of Alpha Omicron VII, it had inadvertently revealed its presence by emitting an asymmetrical field of intense energy. The USS Enterprise-D was nearby at the time, and found the radiation signatures unknown and worth investigating. The starship's sensors had difficulty further penetrating the interior. The creature was slightly smaller than the Galaxy-class starship, and appeared to communicate through radio transmissions. When the Enterprise approached for a closer examination, the creature glowed bright green, then emitted a field of electrical discharges, holding the ship in an energy dampening field. Radiation levels aboard the ship suddenly began to rise toward lethal levels. The Enterprise returned fire in self-defense, but even phasers only set to minimum power proved to be very injurious to the creature's energy patterns. With only a single phaser strike, the creature was shortly dead.

Junior was still alive, and the Enterprise used its phasers to cut it out. It would then assume the ship would provide as its mother. (TNG: "Galaxy's Child")

Adults []

Junior and three adults

Three adult Juniors

These three adult members of Junior's species were part of a group that inhabited the asteroid belt.

In 2367, they responded to Junior's radio distress call. They found it clinging to the side of the USS Enterprise-D, whose crew was trying to discourage it from feeding on their power. The adults initially perceived the Enterprise-D's actions as hostile and turned a shade of green. Following Junior's successful weaning, they reverted to their normal color and stood down.
