Thorson is perhaps best known for playing Tara King on the UK adventure program The Avengers. She succeeded Diana Rigg as Patrick Macnee's female co-star and appeared on the series between 1967 and 1969, later reprising the role alongside Macnee for a French television commercial in the 1970s.
