Linda Thorson (born 18 June 1947; age 76), nee Linda Robinson, is the actress who played Gul Ocett in the Star Trek: The Next Generation sixth season episode "The Chase".

Thorson is perhaps best known for playing Tara King on the UK adventure program The Avengers. She succeeded Diana Rigg as Patrick Macnee's female co-star and appeared on the series between 1967 and 1969, later reprising the role alongside Macnee for a French television commercial in the 1970s. This commercial led to the commissioning of a revival series, The New Avengers, though Thorson was not involved in the new series.

Thorson attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (aka RADA) in London, England. In 2000, she received a special BAFTA (British TV award) for her role in The Avengers along with other leading actresses in the series.

Throughout her long career, Thorson appeared in about a dozen films, including Valentino (1977, starring Carol Kane and Seymour Cassel), The Greek Tycoon (1978, with Tony Jay), Sweet Liberty (1986, with Saul Rubinek), The Other Sister (1999), and Straight Into Darkness (2004, with Scott MacDonald, Daniel Roebuck, an David Warner).

Her television resume is much more extensive, having appeared in guest roles on a large number of series, in the UK, the US, and her native Canada. These include St. Elsewhere (starring Norman Lloyd, Ed Begley, Jr., William Daniels, and Alfre Woodard, with Deborah May and Raye Birk, directed by Robert Becker), The Equalizer (with Mark Margolis and Kelly Curtis, directed by Richard Compton), Spenser: For Hire (starring Avery Brooks), Moonlighting (with Mario Roccuzzo, directed by Paul Lynch and photographed by Jerry Finnerman), Dynasty (starring Joan Collins, directed by Robert Scheerer and Nancy Malone), Tales from the Darkside, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues (with Robert Lansing and Larissa Laskin), Law & Order (with John Schuck), Flashpoint, Saving Hope (starring Huse Madhavji, with Shawn Doyle), Rookie Blue (starring Rachael Ancheril and Melanie Nicholls-King), New Amsterdam, Good Witch, and Heartland.

In 1987-88, Thorson co-starred with Phil Morris in Marblehead Manor, where guest stars included Ethan Phillips, Renée Jones, Raye Birk, and Tom Morga. Between 1989 and 1992, Thorson was cast as mob wife Julia Medina on One Life to Live, joining Henry Darrow as her husband, Argentinian crime boss Dante Medina. During her tenure, Thorson worked alongside Anthony Call, David Gautreaux, Ken Jenkins, Joe Lando, John Loprieno, and David Spielberg, In 1998-99, Thorson co-starred in the first season of Emily of Emily of New Moon, alongside Sheila McCarthy and Stephen McHattie. In the next season, 1999-2000, she co-starred in The Hoop Life, with Cirroc Lofton and Robert Hooks.

In 2006-07, Thorson had a role on another long-running soap opera, Emmerdale Farm. Most recently, from 2020 to 2023, she had a recurring role in the Hulu original series The Hardy Boys, with Atticus Mitchell, Milton Barnes, Jake Epstein, Raven Dauda, Saad Siddiqui, and André Dae Kim.
