Libby

Libby in an alternate timeline (2372)

Libby was the girlfriend of Starfleet officer Harry Kim in 2370. Harry met Libby, by accident, at a Ktarian music festival, where he was sitting in her seat. After the incident, it took Harry three weeks to work up the courage to ask her on a date.

In an alternate timeline created in 2372, Harry found himself back in San Francisco, assigned to the Starfleet Engineer Corps, living with Libby, who was at the time his fiancée.

While lost in the Delta Quadrant, Harry long held on to his love for Libby, often waking up in the middle of the night, calling her name in hope of a response. (VOY: "Non Sequitur")

A hallucination of Libby would appear to Harry, as a product of Bothan telepathy in 2372. (VOY: "Persistence of Vision")

Background

Libby, whose last name was not given, was played by Jennifer Gatti. Her only appearance was in the episode "Non Sequitur".

In the Voyager novels Homecoming and The Farther Shore, Libby resumes her relationship with Harry, although she has since become an agent for Starfleet Intelligence during his absence; the novels also give her last name as "Webber". Jeri Taylor's novel Pathways states Libby's last name is Lattimore.
