Yeoman Leslie Thompson was a Starfleet security guard crew member on the USS Enterprise, serving under Captain James T. Kirk.
Thompson was a member of the landing party that encountered the Kelvans on a Class M unnamed planet in 2268. Thompson was reduced to a dehydrated crystalline block by the Kelvan named Rojan to demonstrate his power to Kirk. Rojan crumbled the block in his hands, killing Thompson. Kirk founding himself mourning her, unable to stop thinking about her destruction. (TOS: "By Any Other Name")
Thompson was played by actress Julie Cobb, who had the dubious distinction of being the only female redshirt to die in the classic series.
