Leon Rippy (born 30 October 1949; age 67) is an actor who portrayed L.Q. Clemonds in the Star Trek: The Next Generation first season episode "The Neutral Zone" in 1988.

He appeared in The Patriot, starring Mel Gibson and featuring DS9's Rene Auberjonois. Other motion pictures he has appeared in include Firestarter (1984, with Louise Fletcher and Robert Miano), The Color Purple (1985, with Whoopi Goldberg), Maximum Overdrive (1986, with John Short), The Bedroom Window (1987, with Wallace Shawn, Brad Greenquist and Mark Margolis), Traxx (1988, with Herschel Sparber and Robert Miano), Moon 44 (1990, with Malcolm McDowell and Brian Thompson), Young Guns II (1990, with Christian Slater and Tracey Walter), Kuffs (1992, with Christian Slater, George De La Peña, and Ashley Judd), Universal Soldier (1992, with Lilyan Chauvin and Tommy "Tiny" Lister, Jr.), Stargate (1994, with Erik Holland, Erick Avari, and Frank Welker), and Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil (1997) alongside Bob Gunton, Anne Haney, Richard Herd and J. Patrick McCormack.

He recently starred in the acclaimed HBO TV series Deadwood, alongside Jim Beaver, Brad Dourif, and Alice Krige. He also recently played Earl in the TNT series Saving Grace, which also stared Roger Aaron Brown, Steve Rankin, and Mark L. Taylor. He has appeared numerous times on Walker, Texas Ranger (with series regular Noble Willingham).

He also starred as the mysterious Dr. Beauregard on the J.J. Abrams created series Alcatraz. In 2013 he appeared in five episodes of the CBS series Under the Dome.
