Lake Tahoe is one of the largest freshwater lakes in the western United States of America. It is located near Reno, Nevada, where it shares a border with the state of California.
The Cal-Neva Lodge overlooked Lake Tahoe when it was built in 1926. Lake Tahoe was incorporated into the holosuite holoprogram Bashir 62, a 24th century rendition of 1962. That year, Vic Fontaine planned on flying up to Tahoe for a couple days to see his friend Sammy perform at the Cal-Neva. While there, Vic intended to introduce Nog to Sammy. When he was sixteen, Tom Paris took his father's shuttle for a joyride and fried all the relays. The shuttle ended up on the bottom of Lake Tahoe, and it was never recovered. (VOY: "Vis à Vis")
