The Kylata system was a planetary systme in the Gamma Quadrant. One of the system's planets, Kylata II, was classified as M-class. The system was to be studied by the USS Defiant in 2371, but the ship instead moved to investigate gravimetric distortions in the Trialus system. (DS9: "Meridian")
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 75, the Kylata system was a trinary star system. Primary was a Class A star with a magnitude of -3, which was 1,000 times brighter than Sol. Stellar companions were Class A and Class K stars. This system was a destination in the Gamma Quadrant Bio-Survey (2369-75).
