Kristine Kathryn Rusch (born 4 June 1960; age 55) is a writer of many Star Trek novels. She frequently collaborates with Dean Wesley Smith.

She wrote the "First Steps" story of The Lives of Dax anthology (based on a concept by Jill Sherwin), that focused on Lela Dax.
