(written from a Production point of view)

According to a cut scene from the final draft script of "Strange Bedfellows", Koganka pudding was a Bajoran dessert. It was Bajoran tradition to give the Koganka pudding to a soon-to-be bride. In late 2375, Kasidy Yates received a number of bowls of the pudding while she sat at Quark's, following the announcement of her upcoming marriage to Benjamin Sisko. According to Star Trek: Celebrations, "Koganko" pudding is a Bajoran offering that symbolizes their desire for children.
