Kim Yale (22 November 19537 March 1997; age 43) was a comic book editor and writer primarily at DC Comics until her death from breast cancer in March 1997. Her last major contribution before her untimely death was writing the five issue mini-series ElfQuest: Kahvi. In 1992, she edited several issues of DC's Star Trek lines, including most of the issues of DC TOS volume 2 between #32: "Veritas Part III: Danger... On Ice!" and #41: "Runaway" and DC TNG volume 2 #34: "Devil's Brew!" through #39: "Bridges".

She was married to fellow comic book author John Ostrander, and an award for the best new talent in the industry was named after her in memorial.
