Kim Bailey (born 20 May 1960; age 63) was a model maker and owner of the company Starlight Effects who worked on the Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episode "Q Who", for which he and associates created several studio models.

In 2003 Bailey reverse engineered the Star Trek: The Original Series bridge for Paramount Studios, designed as an exact replica for Star Trek: The Adventure.

Career[]

Bailey worked on special props on the 1988 science fiction comedy Killer Klowns from Outer Space and as electronics specialist on the action drama Bulletproof (1988). Further credits in the art department include the science fiction film Mission to Mars (2000) and the science fiction thriller The One (2001) on which he also appeared as a featured background actor, a tunnel technician operating the consoles. Between 1995 and 1996, Bailey worked as playback effects supervisor on the science fiction series Space: Above and Beyond and in 1997 as special effects graphics artist on the science fiction sequel Alien: Resurrection.
