Kevin Peter Hall (1955-91) was an actor originating from Pittsburgh, PA who studied Theatrical Arts at George Washington University, Washington DC. At 7 feet, 2½ inches tall, he was one of the tallest actors ever to perform in any Star Trek movie or television series. His enormous stature landed him numerous roles in films as monsters/aliens, most notably as the Predator in the 1987 film Predator and the 1990 sequel, Predator 2. Hall died from an AIDS-related illness in 1991 as a result of contracting HIV from a contaminated blood transfusion prior to production of Predator 2.
