AT: "nt" The USS Kelvin type was a class of 23rd century Federation starship. The Kelvin-type only has one ventral nacelle. The USS Kelvin belongs to this class. (Star Trek) Its shipboard weaponry included phaser cannons which could fire bolts of highly concentrated energy and phaser emitters which fired less powerful beams. The shuttlebay was located in the aft section of the upper pylon.
