Kelemane

Kelemane was a Protector on a planet that USS Voyager visited and became caught in its orbit. The planet rotated at a differential space-time rate that made time pass more quickly there than on Voyager. When Voyager tried to break orbit, it caused dangerous gravitational shifts on the planet.

Kelemane's ancestors believed that Voyager was either an angry deity that shook their planet or a new star. He believed that there was life on this star and decided to attempt to contact the star's protector. He planned on asking the protector of Voyager to stop the gravitational shift. He ordered his teacher to compose a letter, and he sent the letter up in a hot-air balloon.

Kelemane's father was also named Kelemane. (VOY: "Blink of an Eye")

Kelemane was played by actor Obi Ndefo.
