In 2269, Kaz was in charge of organizing the details for destroying the USS Enterprise following the combined escape of their two vessels from the Delta Triangle. While being entertained in the Enterprise's recreation room, he attempted to shoot Leonard McCoy for dancing with "his woman", an action which subsequently resulted in a hearing before the Elysian Ruling Council to determine whether the Klothos should be frozen for a star century as punishment for his actions.
