Kathy McCurdy is a location scout and manager who was one of the key assistant location managers on Star Trek. [1]

For her work on Star Trek, McCurdy was named Assistant Location Manager of the Year for Features at the 14th Annual California on Location Awards (COLAs). Scott Trimble was a runner-up in the same category and for the same film. McCurdy called her time on Star Trek her "all-time" favorite work experience, in part because of the crew she worked with. [2]

McCurdy was also a key assistant location manager for both the Hoover Dam and Los Angeles units of Transformers, which, like Star Trek, was written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. McCurdy shared a COLA with the rest of the Transformers location management and scouting team, including Golden Rob Swenson and Scott Trimble.

She has also managed location shooting for such films as Cursed (featuring Michelle Krusiec), Undiscovered (featuring Peter Weller), and Because Said So (starring Stephen Collins). Television shows she has worked on include The X-Files, ER, Entourage, Six Feet Under and J.J. Abrams' Alias.

McCurdy's other film credits include Hancock (2008, on which she again worked with Scott Trimble) and Days of Wrath (which featured Jeffrey Dean Morgan). McCurdy and Trimble were both nominated by the COLAs for their work on Hancock.
