She appeared in many films and TV shows such as Gunsmoke, Perry Mason, My Favorite Martian (starring Ray Walston), The Wild Wild West (with Lee Bergere), Fantasy Island (with Ricardo Montalban), Hondo (in a recurring role) and Kolchak: The Night Stalker (with her husband Darren McGavin, to whom she had been married since 1969). Browne and William Windom appeared together in one episode of McGavin's previous series, The Outsider. Interestingly enough, before she met McGavin he starred as the captain of the Enterprise (the Riverboat Enterprise, that is) in the 1959-1961 series Riverboat. Browne also appeared in The Love Boat, Sea Hunt, and 77 Sunset Strip, among others. She also had a minor role in the 1965 movie Brainstorm, which starred Jeffrey Hunter.
