Joseph Steven (born 5 September 1956; age 67) is an actor and writer from Chicago, Illinois, who portrayed a Romulan engineer in Star Trek. He did not receive an on-screen credit for the role. He is sometimes credited with the birth name Klus.

Steven made his feature film debut in The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas (2000, starring Joan Collins). He had his first credited film role as a mental ward patient in K-PAX (2001, featuring Alfre Woodard, Mary Mara, William Lucking, Kelly Connell, Scott Lincoln, B'Jahn, Patrick Jankiewicz, Clete Francis, Julie Sands, and Frank Collison. He was then seen in The Scorpion King (2000, starring Star Trek: Voyager guest actor The Rock).

Most recently, Joseph Steven appeared in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006, with Lee Arenberg). In addition, he has appeared on such television series as The District (on which Roger Aaron Brown was a regular), Titus, and in Wanda at Large. He also portrayed the principal role of St. Matthew in the 1999 History Channel documentary The Twelve Apostles. This is in addition to commercial work and stage productions and his work as a copywriter and content writer [1]. His 2009-2010 independent films include: "The Fourth Horseman", award-winning "La Premiere" (as a Frenchman), "Anguish", "The Last Days of Toussaint L'Ouverture" (another Frenchman), "Mariah Everyday Ordinarily", the self-produced 1940s film noir thriller "Oblivious" [2], the web series "Beverly Hills Salon" (as George, the Stalker), "Windmills" (a crazed Cervantes/Quiote), The Portrait (of Dorian Gray, as Auction House manager), and "Light Showers" (as Butler).
