Jonathan Swift was an Irish author in the 17th and 18th centuries.

His work Gulliver's Travels was among the historic books kept by Charles Tucker in his Enterprise NX-01 quarters in 2153. (ENT: "Cogenitor")

In 2365, Jean-Luc Picard told William Riker that the Atlec vessel threating them has "shades of Gulliver's Travels". (TNG: "The Outrageous Okona")

In 2376, "Katie O'Clare" mentioned Swift in a conversation with the original version of Michael Sullivan, to prove to him that many of Earth's greatest writers were Irish. (VOY: "Fair Haven")
