Real World article
(written from a Production point of view)

John Van Fleet is a comic book artist specializing in cover art.

He broke into the industry in 1990 working on Clive Barker's Hellraiser title for Marvel Comics. The first issue he worked on featured three stories, Van Fleet did all of the artwork for the opening story, and Scott Hampton provided art for the middle story of the three. He continued working and in 1995 provided cover art for the first Babylon 5 comic, written by J. Michael Straczynski. After that, he began doing covers for the X-Files comic.

In addition to his comic work, he has done a number of covers for novels including on the Star Wars line.

While at WildStorm Comics, he produced covers for the "Star Trek: Special" and the "Other Realities" collection.
