John Evansville in late 2371.
John Evansville was a leader of a human settlement on an unnamed class L planet in the Delta Quadrant. Evansville and the rest of the human population were descendend from 300 humans who had been abducted from Earth in 1937 by a race called the Briori and transported to the planet for use as slaves. Eventually the humans rose up against the Briori and established their own civilization on the planet. By 2371, their population was over 100,000 and spanned three cities.
When the USS Voyager encountered the planet in late 2371, Evansville invited the crew to stay and live with his people. Many of the crew were tempted by his offer, though ultimately, they unanimously decided to resume their journey back to the Alpha Quadrant. (VOY: "The 37's")
