John Davis Chandler (28 January 193516 February 2010; age 75), played Flith in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine sixth season episode "Honor Among Thieves". Chandler worked with Sam Peckinpah (a favorite among the Deep Space Nine writers) on three films: Ride the High Country, Major Dundee and Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid. Chandler is well known for his role of Bleak, the head of a Chicago chop shop ring in the 1987 teen comedy Adventures in Babysitting in which Ron Canada portrayed Graydon, his second-in-command. The film also marked the acting debut of future series actor Anthony Rapp.

Aside from his appearances in Peckinpah's films, Chandler's other film Westerns include The Outlaw Josey Wales, Return of the Gunfighter, The Good Guys and the Bad Guys, Barquero, Shoot Out (with Paul Fix), and Triumphs of a Man Called Horse (with Vaughn Armstrong).

In the 1960s and 1970s, Chandler guest starred in Rifleman (with Paul Fix), The Travels of Jaimie McPheeters (with Meg Wyllie), A Man Called Shenandoah (with John Anderson, Adam-12, Cannon, Gunsmoke (with Meg Wyllie and Bill Erwin), Police Story, and The Incredible Hulk.

In the 1980s and 1990s, he guest-starred in B.J. and the Bear (with Diana Muldaur, Joseph Ruskin, and Bob Minor), Fantasy Island (with Ricardo Montalban), T. J. Hooker (with William Shatner and James Darren), Hill Street Blues (with James B. Sikking and Barbara Bosson), Murder, She Wrote (with Brock Peters), ER (1995, with Christine Harnos, Mark Rolston, Stephen Rowe, Lily Mariye, Christopher Darga, Robert Cox, Todd Merrill, Pablo Soriano, and Melissa Vinicor), and Walker, Texas Ranger (with Edward Laurence Albert).

He died at age 75 on February 16, 2010 in Toluca Lake, California. [1]
