John Carroll was the Online Editor for all four of the live-action Star Trek spin-off series, from Star Trek: The Next Generation through Star Trek: Enterprise. Carroll received credit for his work in the end credits of the final TNG episode "All Good Things..."

He served in this same capacity for the 2000 short web film Slice of Life, starring Star Trek: Voyager actor Robert Picardo and Trek stuntwoman Patricia Tallman and behind the scenes crew David Livingston, Joe Chess, Peter Lefevre, Damaris Cordelia, Adele Simmons, and Bradley Look.
