Jennifer Hetrick (born 12 May 1958; age 65) is the actress who played the recurring role of Vash in the Star Trek: The Next Generation third and fourth season episodes "Captain's Holiday" and "Qpid", and the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine first season episode "Q-Less".

For the episode "Qpid", Hetrick filmed her scenes between Wednesday 6 February 1991 and Monday 11 February 1991 and Wednesday 13 February 1991 and Friday 15 February 1991 on Paramount Stage 8, 9, and 16. During the filming of "Qpid", Hetrick was engaged to fellow actor Patrick Stewart. (Source: John Nowak, Stewart's stunt double)

She was interviewed on 14 February 2002 for the TNG Season 4 DVD special features "Mission Overview Year Four", "Selected Crew Analysis Year Four" ("Profile: Vash"), and "Inside the Star Trek Archives" ("Strange Reunions") where she talked about her role as Vash and her scenes with Patrick Stewart and John de Lancie.

Hetrick was interviewed on 14 February 2002 for the DS9 Season 1 DVD special feature "Section 31-Hidden File 10" regarding her role and her appearance in "Q-Less". She said that her make up process for her brief scene battling the infection took about eight hours and she was happy that she did not portray an alien character on Star Trek.

Born in Westerville, Ohio, she appeared in numerous other science-fiction and fantasy series including The X-Files, Sliders (starring Jerry O'Connell and John Rhys-Davies), and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and is also remembered for her recurring role on L.A. Law, appearing with Corbin Bernsen and Diana Muldaur.
