Actor Jeff Kober (born December 18, 1953) is best known for his role as Sergeant Evan "Dodger" Winslow on the Emmy Award-winning television series China Beach, on which he co-starred with future Star Trek: Voyager star Robert Picardo from 1988 through 1991. Ten years later, he and Picardo would again appear together in the Voyager episode "Repentance", on which Kober played the role of Iko. The following year, Kober would appear as Traeg in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "Shadows of P'Jem".

The year before China Beach debuted, Kober had a supporting role in the made-for-television movie Laguna Heat. Co-starring in this film were Catherine Hicks and Peter Brocco. In 1988, besides starring in China Beach, Kober had major roles in three feature films: Viper, Lucky Stiff (co-starring W. Morgan Sheppard, Leigh J. McCloskey, Bill Quinn, and Larry Cedar), and the popular science fiction film Alien Nation (also featuring Brian Thompson, Frank Collison, Tom Morga, Leslie Bevis, Roger Aaron Brown, Earl Boen, and Keone Young).

Kober has had steady work on television since China Beach came to an end, having made several guest appearances on the series Walker, Texas Ranger and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (working with Dominic Keating and Harris Yulin in the latter) and starring in the short-lived TV series Higher Education and Kindred: The Embraced. He has also appeared in several films, including 1995's Tank Girl with Malcolm McDowell and Iggy Pop, 2002's Enough with William O. Campbell, Bill Cobbs, Bruce French and Sandra Nelson, and 2003's A Man Apart with Thomas Kopache. He most recently made an appearance in the 2004 adventure Hidalgo, also featuring Malcolm McDowell.

He also recently had a small but important guest role on the series 24 playing the assassin who kills former President David Palmer. His "Shadows of P'Jem" co-star Gregory Itzin also appears on the show.
