Jeff Coopwood was born on 29 June 1958 in Chicago, Illinois. He is probably best known as the voice of the Borg in the film Star Trek: First Contact. His voice was used for the famous line "Resistance is futile". He also did voice work on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in 1993.

He is an accomplished actor who specializes in voice-over work. His credits include films such as The Island of Dr. Moreau, A Time to Kill, The Green Mile, The Wild Thornberrys Movie and The Rock (with Tony Todd).
