Professor Jeff Carlson was young a mid-20th century human scientist, engaged to marry Faith Garland.

In 1947, he contacted by the US Army to investigate three aliens discovered in the wreckage of a flying saucer that crashed in Roswell, New Mexico. He headed the attempts to communicate with the aliens (Nog, Rom, and Quark). Later, he would help the aliens escape and return to their own timeline. (DS9: "Little Green Men")

Jeff Carlson was played by Conor O'Farrell.
